Inspired by the song “Somewhere over the Rainbow”, 89 birds from across the globe rest for a moment to create an incredible rainbow of colour, before fluttering off on their travels.  Study the colours of each beautiful bird; from the rich red of the Northern Cardinal to the brilliant blue Splendid Fairywren and the glowing Emerald Toucanet, their shades and tints will tease and challenge you.  The detailed textures and tones of the LBBs (little brown birds) are equally striking, with their different patterns and plumage giving valuable clues whilst puzzling.  Inspired by the artist’s daughter and created during lockdown, this rich rainbow represents both hope and the beauty of the natural world.

The finished puzzle measures 70 x 50cm when complete.
